Why do I need to connect an X account?

Foundrs generates and publishes content to X — without an X account, the app has no destination for the posts it creates. We use X's official OAuth 2.0 to connect, and we never see or store your X password.

After signing in, tap "Connect Account" on the welcome screen. You'll be redirected to X to authorize Foundrs. Make sure you're already signed in to the X account you want to connect — switching accounts after authorization requires disconnecting and reconnecting.

Yes — multiple-account support is included on the Creator and Pro plans. Go to Settings → Accounts → Add Account. Switch between connected accounts from the account menu in the top bar.

My X account got disconnected — why?

How does Foundrs match my writing style?

When you connect an X account, Foundrs analyzes your past posts to build a Writing Profile — your tone, vocabulary, sentence structure, and topics. New posts are generated using this profile so they sound like you, not like generic AI.

Why don't generated posts sound like me?

This usually means there isn't enough data in your X history (under ~20 posts). Either post more from your account first, or refine your profile manually in Settings → Writing Profile, where you can adjust tone, topics, and reference posts.

Can I edit posts before they're published?

Yes. Every generated post lands in your dashboard as a draft. You can edit, regenerate, schedule, or post immediately. Nothing publishes without your approval unless you've enabled auto-posting on a schedule.

How do I regenerate a post I don't like?

Open the post and tap the regenerate icon (circular arrows). Foundrs will create a fresh version using the same prompt and your Writing Profile.

What is auto-posting?

On the Creator and Pro plans, you can set up recurring schedules — for example, "post twice a day at 9am and 5pm." Foundrs will generate posts on this schedule and either auto-publish them or queue them for your approval, your choice in Schedule settings.

My scheduled post didn't publish — what happened?

The most common cause is that your X token expired between scheduling and the publish time. Check Settings → Accounts to confirm the account is still connected, then republish manually. If the account is connected and posts still aren't going out, email us at nizar@foundrs.app.

Can I get a refund?

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled directly by Apple. Visit reportaproblem.apple.com, find your Foundrs purchase, and request a refund. Apple typically responds within 48 hours.

What data does Foundrs store?

We store your account profile (email, name), your Writing Profile (derived from your X posts), the posts you generate, and your scheduling preferences. We do not store your X password — only an OAuth token that you can revoke at any time.

Will Foundrs post anything without my approval?

Only if you've explicitly enabled auto-posting on a schedule. By default, every post requires your manual approval before it's published.

How do I delete my account?

Open Settings → Account → Delete Account. This permanently removes your profile, Writing Profile, generated posts, and scheduled posts from our servers within 30 days. Your X account itself is unaffected — Foundrs's access is revoked, but your X account stays intact.

The app crashes when I open it.

Force-quit Foundrs and reopen. If it keeps crashing, delete and reinstall the app — your account and posts are stored in the cloud, so nothing is lost. Still crashing? Email nizar@foundrs.app with your iOS version and device model.

Sign-in isn't working.

Check that your device has a stable internet connection. If you're using "Continue with Apple," make sure you're signed into iCloud in Settings. If you see an authentication error, sign out and try again.

Posts won't generate.

Confirm your X account is still connected (Settings → Accounts). If it is, check whether you've reached your monthly post limit on your plan (Settings → Subscription). If neither, email us.

I'm getting "rate limit" errors when posting.

Accepted Answer

X enforces posting rate limits per account. Wait an hour and try again. If you're hitting limits often, consider spacing your schedule out further.
